Oral presentation: helpful tips

It is always scary to speak in front of an audience. You don't have to worry too much because here are some tips provided by the British council in order to have a successful oral presentation. You can watch the video on:         http://learnenglishteens.britishcouncil.org/exams/speaking-exams/oral-presentation

I truly believe that we need to be prepared and not feeling nervous at all. You can use some note cards but the main point is to improve your speaking skills by giving your opinion, your arguments and try to be clear as more as you can, so listeners can understand what you're saying.

My advice is , before giving an oral presentation you need to be prepared is, NOT about to learn the information or your opinions by heart; you need to express your different views by using common words or expressions which are useful  when we are speaking in front of a public and don't panic.

For example: In order to start your presentation:  I'd like to start with...  / I'd like to  talk about....

To order your ideas, you could start by saying :  Firstly/Then/Secondly/ next/Finally/last/ to sum up/ In conclusion...

To introduce the opposite point of view you could say:  However/ on the other hand...
Use these expressions to order your ideas:
First of all, ...
Firstly, ...
Then, ...
Secondly, ...
Next, ...
Finally, ...
Lastly, ...
To sum up, ...
In conclusion, ...
Use these expressions to add more ideas from the same point of view:
In addition, ...
What’s more, ...
Also, ...
Added to this, ...
To introduce the opposite point of view you can use these words and expressions:
However, ...
On the other hand, ...
Then again, ...
